AHP had a unique opportunity to spend time with both parents and children at Children's Hospital Scottish Rite, in Atlanta, while giving them a night of fun. We were excited to host a second event for the children and their families with a night full of games, fun, and dinner. These events provide a break for both child and parent from the daily challenges and stress of dealing with a serious illness.
AHP participated in the annual Care-A-Thon, to raise money for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta benefiting the Aflac Cancer Center and Blood Disorders Service, which is one of the largest childhood cancer and hematology programs in the country, serving infants, children, adolescents and young adults with cancer and blood disorders. Over 25 AHP employees from the Duluth corporate office participated in this 37-hour marathon broadcast by answering phone calls from public donors. This event was another huge success bringing in over $1.4 million dollars for a very worthy cause.
Our Delaware facility participated in Operation Military Pride. An organization that supplies care packages to US soldiers abroad. Here Bob Charleston, VP of Manufacturing and Supply Chain, George Jackson, CEO, and Rusty Ables, VP of Product Management and Development, sign a banner to thank soldiers for their efforts and sacrifices. This banner along with a supply of items has been shipped to show AHP’s support.
Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is one of the leading pediatric hospitals in the country. AHP takes great pride in supporting this non-profit organization because they help take care of our end user, babies. Read a letter from Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (PDF)
AHP presented Children's Healthcare of Atlanta with an annual donation in support of our ongoing commitment to the hospital. Along with the members of the Duluth corporate office, the donation was presented by Owen Connelly;Corporate Vice-President of Finance (pictured on the left) and George Jackson;CEO (pictured on the right) to Jai Rogers of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. These annual donations are used to support the pre and post-natal programs within the hospital.
AHP celebrated the opening of our Waco, Texas facility. This latest facility joins additional manufacturing locations in Delaware, Ohio and Vancouver, Washington to provide strategic shipping points for our retailer partners.
